Case study · Apparel manufacturing
USCAPE moved order entry to a reviewed queue in five weeks.
Native helped USCAPE, a collegiate and destination apparel manufacturer, put an agent on its order inbox. It reads each forwarded order email and has a draft ready for review in about five minutes, at about five cents of model cost per order.

A forwarded email becomes a review-ready order in about 5 minutes, measured in production. Model cost is about $0.05 per order: roughly $0.02 for a plain email and $0.04 to $0.06 with a PDF purchase order.
About USCAPE
The client is a custom apparel and headwear manufacturer with collegiate, destination and headwear divisions. Revenue grew from $10.7M in 2025 to a projected ~$14.9M in 2026, and with a median order of 48 units, growth arrives as order count.
The challenge
Roughly 15% to 20% of inbound orders needed manual entry. A sales rep forwarded the email, and an account manager parsed it, cross-referenced customer and product data and typed the order in by hand. The founder put the toil at about 2 hours a day.
Every order had to land in a FileMaker database grown since before 2020, with 121 tables, 714 scripts and a 255,000-row price list, in its exact naming. Reorders often arrived as a single line pointing at a past order, and incomplete emails meant someone had to chase the sender first.
What we built
How it works
- 01ForwardA rep forwards the customer's order email to the order inbox.
- 02DraftThe agent extracts the order and scores its confidence in every field.
- 03CheckThe checklist runs, and anything uncertain is flagged for a person.
- 04ApproveA person reviews the draft beside the source email and approves it.
- 05PushThe approved order goes into FileMaker in one click, logged and safe to retry.
Results
Kickoff to production cutover took five weeks on a plan that ran as written, and the first production order went through the full pipeline in July 2026. The manufacturer's own review of the codebase called the work "ahead of the plan's sequence".
The agent runs inside the Hub, the operating platform Native builds and runs for USCAPE. The engagement began as a fixed-scope build and continues as an ongoing platform engagement.
